  Direct Broadcast Satellite is the fastest growing technology product for consumers over the past decade. With over 30 million subscribers to date, Satellite TV has established itself as a staple median and a giant in the Pay-TV market. PDI-SAT is proud to have been a big part of the growth and evolution of the industry over the past two decades.
 As our industry now embarks on growth in Multi-Client Properties like Condos, Townhomes, Apartments, Lodging, Institutions and Commercial Public Viewing Venues, it becomes our job to keep our cleints informed.
The transition to Digital from Analog is set to take place on February 19, 2009, marking the end of analog transmissions. This will create even more opportunities for DIRECTV®’s ALL DIGITAL SERVICE.
PDI-SAT plans to better educate and communicate with our customers by staying ahead of the competition and keeping our partners informed of all the changes and market trends. What is MFH2 Technology?
MFH2™ is a cost effective solution for delivering the full suite of DIRECTV services to multi-residence homes. MFH2 leverages Single Wire Multi-Switch (SWM) technology to provide DIRECTV programming and services via a single home-run wire. Additionally, this same platform and single wire can be used to delivery voice, broadband data and other services.
 An exciting benefit of MFH2 is its ability to reuse wiring that currently exists on the property. The technology is easily installed in a garden-style or hire-rise building, and is cost effective for any size property. Additionally, MFH2 was designed to upgrade existing MFH1 properties on a customer by customer basis to offer the new Ka-band HD channels.
MFH2 is a full service solution and supports the latest line of DIRECTV SWM capable receivers also available from PDI-SAT. The receiver includes dual-tuner DVR and the new networking features available on the HD DVR and will work with ONE WIRE to each unit.

PDI-SAT Forms Alliance With Thomson To Offer MFH3
PDI-SAT is proud to announce we are now a distributor for Thomson and DIRECTV’s new MFH3™ Multi-Client system. This System enables delivery of all DIRECTV programming and services using existing in-building wiring, such as Ethernet CAT5e, CAT3, and Coaxial Cable plant. It supports all current and planned DIRECTV programming services, including Ka-Band HD programming, ensuring an outstanding user experience for today’s MDU customer.
The MFH3 uses a gateway technology, which converts DIRECTV signals into industry-standard IP Video packets, for delivery to IP-enabled DIRECTV receivers. The MFH3 system uses DIRECTV’s I-series receivers which are also available from PDI-SAT.
